About Owner Craig Tuffelmire and Tex-perts Cooling & Heating
Craig Tuffelmire has had his heart and hands in the home air conditioning service for over 20 years. After working on nuclear missiles during the Gulf War, he found himself turning wrenches at an air conditioning business to pay his way through college. He excelled quickly and found a flair for keeping customers happy. “I knew that the key ingredient to earning a customer for life was exceeding all their expectations, and it fascinated me. It was fun and rewarding, and it just made sense to put customer service first before everything else. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel like the companies I worked for saw the value in customer satisfaction quite the way I did.”
“I worked for companies that wouldn’t go all out for their customers, that didn’t seem to care about their customers as much as I did.”
With Craig’s strong belief in remarkable customer service and a devotion to working within any customer’s budget, Tex-Perts Cooling & Heating opened their doors. The goal was to keep it simple and streamlined so customers could get a great value at a competitive price.“I consider myself a consultant, not a sales person. Each customers needs are different. We work with each one to make sure they are getting what they need, and in a price zone that they can feel comfortable with.”
Craig’s values and hard work haven’t gone unnoticed, being featured as a “Best Contractor” for both 2011 and 2012 in Angies’ List Magazine. When he isn’t keeping San Antonio cool and breezy or warm and cozy, he’s passionately supporting local charity organizations or burying his nose in a book. “I believe in giving back to my community. If we want it to be a better place, it has to start with each one of us contributing as individuals, and I’m proud to play my part.”
