“Replaced a dual capacitor in one of my A/C units with individual capacitors for the motor and compressor. Installed a start-up kit to help the capacitors start the motor and compressor and prolong their lifespan. Went very well. I called around 4:30 pm and the technician arrived before 6 pm. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong and told me exactly what it would take to fix it (which was much less than I had anticipated). He didn’t try to sell me any parts or services that I didn’t need, which I appreciated. He was done by 7 pm.

“We contacted Craig at Tex-Perts based on Angie’s List reviews and explained the situation. He rearranged his schedule to meet with us within an hour of our call. He asked about our heating/cooling habits, problems and concerns we experienced before the system failed, and the length of time we intended to remain in the house. Using that information he looked at the existing system and then developed options to fit our situation and budget.

He recommended a system that was more energy efficient than the one in our first estimate for nearly the same price. But it also includes a variable speed air handler, whole house filtering system, and programmable thermostat. It also qualifies for a federal tax credit. Before the technicians arrived the following morning I had some questions about the system, and Craig had the manufacturer’s San Antonio service manager contact me to answer all my questions. The installation was flawless. The techs wore shoe covers and used drop cloths inside the house to protect our floors. They were friendly, quick, and neat, with the entire job completed in less than 6 hours. The entire work site was cleaned up before they left.

Tex-Perts includes one year of maintenance with the system to ensure there are no problems or questions. We could not be happier with Tex-Perts or our new A/C and heating system. As homeowners we were dreading the time when we needed to purchase a new A/C and heating system. Tex-Perts made it as a painless as possible, and they will be our only call when our second system fails (hopefully several years from now!)”

“One of our two air conditioning units quit working three days ago. We called one of the companies that had performed seasonal maintenance for us to take a look. They discovered a wire had shorted out and burned a hole through a copper tube releasing all the refrigerant. We asked for repair and replacement estimates and then sought a second estimate. Tex-Perts provided that second estimate. They were far superior to the first company in knowledge, customer service, and price. After just a few minutes with them we were convinced they were the company for us.

They replaced both the indoor and outdoor units of a 3½ ton heat pump system. They removed the old system and fabricated the replacement system in less than 6 hours. The house is comfortable again and we expect many years of service from our new system. These guys are the real deal.
